As an experienced terminal operator, BCT has many years of experience in handling break-bulk and oversized cargo. A specialized division of the General Cargo Department coordinates the transshipment operations of heavy elements in the full logistics chain by sea and land, using a dedicated quay capable of accommodating ships up to 195 m in length.
The portfolio of handled goods includes mainly metallurgical products (sheets in coils, sheets and slabs), as well as components of wind power plants, steel structures, crane elements, transformers and heavy construction and military equipment. The offer is complemented by professional services of fastening and unfastening oversized cargo on flat rack and open top containers, as well as in the cargo holds of serviced units.
The result of this activity is over 130 ships with uncontainerized cargo, which we successfully handle every year. Thanks to investments in modern handling equipment, the operational potential of the terminal now allows for the handling of elements with a unit weight of up to 250 tons and a length of up to 70 meters.
